CHART stands out as the largest single art event and leading contemporary art fair in the Nordic region. This year, CHART’s celebrates its fifth anniversary with a programme that extends well beyond the art fair itself.

A key part of CHART’s programme is the well-attended CHART TALKS, a forum for dialogue and debate with leading actors within contemporary art and academia.

CHART TALKS
In cooperation with the art magazine ArtReview, CHART hosts six talks this year under the common theme The End of the Art World As We Know It. Among other issues, the talks address how professional art critique, unstable political structures and globalization affect the production, distribution and understanding of art.

The growing international recognition of CHART has made it possible to attract innovative and influential actors from Denmark and abroad, enabling CHART TALKS to present its most ambitious programme to date, featuring, among others, Alexander Tovborg, Alex Da Corte, Hans Ulrich Obrist, and Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.

CHART TALKS takes place on 2–3 September.

An international perspective
As part of CHART TALKS, CHART hosts an international visitors’ programme for the invited speakers. With a view to promoting new international opportunities and creative initiatives, the speakers will be introduced to the Danish art scene through a series of specially planned activities, such as visiting galleries, artists, museums and art installations. With this initiative, CHART TALKS fosters long-term collaborations and unique opportunities for Danish artists in Denmark and abroad and promotes awareness of leading international artists in Denmark.
