Application
Applications must be created and submitted online via the New Carlsberg Foundation’s application system.
Create applicant profile
To access the New Carlsberg Foundation’s application system, applicants must first create a profile. If the applicant has already created a profile, the applicant must use their existing login. Replies and further dialogue in connection with submitted applications will be sent to the profile that created the application.
Application process
An application is made by filling in a simple form that is accessible in the application system. Applicants also add relevant attachments, including a project description and budget.
You can save your application as a draft, which means that applicants can access and adjust their application whenever they wish before submitting the finalised version.
1. Fill in the application
The applicant fills in the form, providing contact details, a project summary and budget/financing information and uploads relevant attachments, including a project description and budget. Specific requirements for the application material are listed for individual grants.
2. The application is submitted to the board
If an application complies with the formal requirements, it will be submitted for review at the next board meeting after the application deadline for the relevant grant. If there are any questions about a given application, or if it is incomplete, the New Carlsberg Foundation will endeavour to contact the applicant prior to the application being submitted to the board.
3. Board meeting review
The board of the New Carlsberg Foundation reviews the application at a board meeting. Board meetings are held approximately every four weeks. All applications are reviewed on the basis of the board’s expert knowledge of art and in accordance with the foundation charter.
4. Reply
Once the board has reviewed the application, the applicant will receive a reply via the New Carlsberg Foundation’s application system. If the application is approved, the subsequent handling of the case also takes place via the application system. Unfortunately the New Carlsberg Foundation cannot provide any explanation if an application is refused.
