Educational activities constitute a cornerstone of the New Carlsberg Foundation’s efforts to present "living art for living people", as the Foundation’s founder, brewer Carl Jacobsen, put it.

Therefore, support is provided for publications that can contribute to new insights into the histories of art and make art accessible and relevant to a wide audience.

Support is provided for dissemination publications - including artist monographs and exhibition catalogues - research-based publications, journals and international publications about Danish art.

Funding for publications on Danish art, intended for publication outside Denmark, must be applied for through the programme: International publications on Danish art.

In 2026 there are three application deadlines.
For specific dates, see under ‘Application deadlines’.
