The funding should heighten the artist’s visibility abroad as well as strengthen their artistic development and network.
Danish art can make a qualified and significant contribution in a global context. By supporting Danish artists’ exhibitions and collaborations in other countries and cultures, the New Carlsberg Foundation also wishes to strengthen the development of Danish art in a context that promotes diversity.
The New Carlsberg Foundation will endeavour to fund projects that reflect breadth and diversity in terms of artistic oeuvres and practices, media, curatorial perspectives, periods, geography, gender, art forms, etc., and to support exhibitions at established institutions and among up-and-coming art scene protagonists alike.
Who may apply?
