Carl Jacobsen’s Correspondence Archive

The New Carlsberg Foundation is in the process of digitizing the extensive letter archives belonging to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and the New Carlsberg Foundation. Many letters have already been made available in the online Carl Jacobsen's Correspondence Archive, and over the coming years, the master brewer’s correspondence with artists and archaeologists and others who contributed to the history of the foundation and of the Glyptotek will be placed online in full. ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The New Carlsberg Foundation was established in 1902 by brewer Carl Jacobsen and is funded mainly by dividends from shares in Carlsberg A/S. Today, the Foundation continues to realize Jacobsen’s vision of promoting art in society and making it available to the widest possible audience.
