Hito Steyerl to Kunsten in Aalborg

Important video installation by the German contemporary artist and theorist Hito Steyerl has now been added to the permanent collection of Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg. With computer game aesthetics, humour and impactful sensory qualities, SocialSim examines serious topics, such as police violence and social conformity and regimentation. The acquisition was made possible by a grant from the New Carlsberg Foundation.

With the theme of ‘Landscapes of Care’, Copenhagen Architecture Festival begins on 7 October. The wide-ranging festival programme was created with support from the Danish Arts Foundation, The Dreyer Foundation, Realdania and the New Carlsberg Foundation.

SUPERFLEX floods Manhattan

SUPERFLEX, Vertical Migration (still), 2021

When the UN General Assembly convenes for its 76th session in New York, the Danish artist group SUPERFLEX presents bold and striking climate statements both in Central Park and on the facade of the iconic UN Building. The project Interspecies Assembly, which is supported by the New Carlsberg Foundation, among others, is presented on 21–24 September and can also be accessed online.

Ferdinand Ahm Krag to Esbjerg Art Museum

Ferdinand Ahm Krag Rogue Planet II, 2020

Ferdinand Ahm Krag’s works call to mind nature’s wondrous structures and processes. Thanks to a donation from the New Carlsberg Foundation, Rogue Planet II and The Book for Traversing Eternity have now been included in the collection of Esbjerg Kunstmuseum.
